We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team providing learning on a range of musical instrument craft (guitar) programmes, with a focus on repair and instrument making.
By using vocational knowledge and experience to deliver teaching, learning and assessment you will inspire students and prepares them for progression to employment in the sector or higher education.
Duties will also include, but not be limited to:
- To teach on Musical Instrument Craft related courses, including, but not limited to: Foundation Guitar Making and Repair, BA (Hons) Musical Instrument Craft (Guitar).
- To assist the Curriculum Lead in the coordination of specific courses as required by the Assistant Principle of HE.
- To contribute to the development of specialist disciplines, helping to maximise success rates and raise recruitment.
- To promote the development of core transferable skills in English and maths.
- To support students in the achievement of their personal targets.
The ideal candidate will hold Honours degree or equivalent or professionally recognised qualification in guitar making and repair, along with a Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent.
In addition, being able to demonstrate initiative, organisational skills, attention to detail and a flexible approach to the needs of the team will be highly advantageous.
