This role is pivotal to achieving that ambition.
About the Role
As our People Manager – Recruitment & Resourcing, you’ll lead the College’s end to end recruitment and resourcing strategy, ensuring we attract high calibre talent across all areas.
From tackling skills shortages to delivering innovative recruitment campaigns, you’ll shape the College’s approach to hiring and workforce planning.
You will:
• Lead, develop and inspire the recruitment team to deliver a high quality, customer focused service.
• Provide expert advice to managers on recruitment, selection methods, behavioural based interviewing and inclusive hiring.
• Design, deliver and evaluate innovative recruitment strategies, particularly for hard to fill roles.
• Act as the Ofsted lead for Safer Recruitment, ensuring full compliance with KCSIE and safeguarding requirements.
• Ensure UKVI compliance, including sponsorship, right to work checks and audit preparation.
• Build proactive talent pipelines, especially via FE Resources (the College’s own recruitment agency), to support continuity and reduce external agency reliance.
• Lead initiatives aligned to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, supporting the College’s ambitions around ageing workforce, ethnic minority representation, neurodiversity and more.
• Use recruitment analytics to drive improvements in time to hire, cost effectiveness and candidate experience.
• Support strategic workforce planning, onboarding and early career retention.
This is a role where you can make a significant impact balancing innovation with compliance, and strategy with hands on leadership.
About You
You will bring:
• Significant experience managing end to end recruitment, including senior and specialist campaigns.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, safer recruitment, DBS, UKVI requirements and best practice.
• Experience leading and developing high performing teams.
• Confident stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and influence decision making.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• CIPD registration (or willingness to work towards it).
Why Join Us?

• Attracting and retaining the best talent, supported by strong investment in professional development.
• Creating an inclusive, supportive and forward-thinking workplace, reflective of our diverse community.
• Driving innovation in recruitment, digital adoption and sustainable workforce practices.
You’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of recruitment across the College, helping us build a motivated, diverse and highly skilled workforce.
