ASSIST Practitioner - Godalming and Reigate

Location: Godalming

Salary (or hourly rate): £15.86 per hour (inclusive of location allowance)

Contract Type: Zero Hours

Hours per week: 57 hours per month

ASSIST Practitioner - Godalming and Reigate

Who we are looking for:

To be a successful member of our team you must have:

  • Experience of working with people on the autism spectrum within a professional capacity
  • Be able to work within a set schedule for 57 hours per month. These hours to be delivered in the Reigate area Face to Face or virtually (depending on the needs of the clients) and also from our office in Godalming. Days and hours to be worked flexibly
  • Experience of working with people on the autism spectrum who also have mental health or learning difficulty needs or both
  • Being able to provide one to one non therapeutic support to people on the autism spectrum
  • Experience of using, applying and adapting autism specific approaches 
  • Work in a person-centred approach adapting your skills to the needs of the individual
  • Be prepared to be supervised in a peer-setting
  • Work flexibly outside usual office hours
  • Be independent and able to work on your own
  • Have a good understanding of Safeguarding issues
  • Being able to travel to Godalming for occasional team supervisions
  • You will be working alongside other colleagues and with groups of people on the autism spectrum. You will be providing one to one support for allocated area and occasionally travel to meet people with autism and professionals.
