The role

Working in our Neath residential homes, you will be supporting autistic adults and enriching their everyday lives. Part of the role may involve providing personal care and medication, but the majority of the day’s activities will be decided by the people we support. You will work with them to implement an enjoyable routine of daily activities, social outings and more.

No two days are the same. If you like new challenges and making a difference to people’s lives this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Previous experience is preferred, though not essential as we have a fantastic training programme that will get you on your way to achieving a fulfilling job that will beat most out there.

This advert is for a part time position, 27 Hours. The starting salary for this position is £16,848 per annum (£12 per hour). We also offer sleep-in shifts at an additional rate and overtime is optional.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families, and will include evening and weekend working.

We need you to be: Resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. Being a support worker takes passion, patience and commitment. But working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

To protect our autistic adults, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential.
