Senior Support Worker - Apple Grove (Fixed Term 12 Months)

An exciting opportunity to join our friendly team in Brent Knoll.

We are currently transitioning people from residential care to transition care and would like a  Fixed Term Senior Support Worker to join our friendly team's.

Being a Senior Support Worker takes courage, patience and commitment. Working with autistic people gives so much more in return.

You will have a working knowledge of care standards and related legislation and have good report writing skills. You should be able demonstrate how you are able to lead and motivate a team to reach agreed outcomes and uphold the values of the organisation.

You should have a relevant Level 3 qualification or be willing to work towards within a given time period. You must be willing to work flexibly

This is a full-time, permanent 37.5hr per week post working in Apple Grove in Brent Knoll.

Your working pattern will be varied over a seven-day rota, and would include alternate weekends and bank holidays.

A full UK driving licence and access to transport is desirable.

The role includes:

  • Supporting adults to achieve their goals.
  • To guide, prompt, support individuals to undertake activities and learn new skills.
  • To be part of a team around key individuals.
  • Support with mentoring, development and supervision of team members.
  • Assist with day-day management of running the service.
  • To be aware of the role of the relevant care regulatory body (CQC) and the statutory standards required for the work setting.
  • Assist to develop and maintain a responsive support service to people with autism.
