About the role:

Network Rail Consulting currently has a great opportunity for an experienced RAM Manager to join our growing team based in Sydney.

The successful candidate will lead a team of international experts to deliver the professional management of RAM across programs, ensuring compliance with national and international standards and embracing international best practices across the program.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish and lead the RAM frameworks.
  • Creation and updating of RAM Management Plans and any other documentation in line with program timescales and quality requirements.
  • Act as the interface with clients on RAM and performance targets.
  • Lead the Asset Management working group.
  • Manage the provision of international RAM expertise provided by Network Rail, including their output quality and adherence to program timescales.
  • Ensure all deliverables are created in line with the approved evidence-based framework, through selective sampling and auditing.
  • Provide planning and execution of support services to other teams in ensuring that specialist advice is provided.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Degree qualified safety professional or equivalent demonstrable experience in system assurance or RAM.
  • Working towards academic and professional recognition within a RAM domain.
  • Prior experience in the rail industry.
  • Strong background in signalling programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong stakeholder and interface management skills with the ability to build positive relationships across a diverse range of client stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to promptly investigate safety related issues and recommend the implementation of corrective actions.

Desirable

  • Experience in the implementation of modern signalling systems CBTC, ETCS.
  • Demonstrable leadership and interpersonal skills appropriate to the position.
  • Experience during the development and entry into service phase of new rail infrastructure.
  • Affiliation with recognised professional body.
