About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery & Planning Manager with demonstrated expertise in European Train Control Systems (ETCS) or equivalent digital train control systems to join our growing team in Brisbane as Program Integration Manager.
You will be responsible for integrating project plans and working closely with subcontractors, delivery partners, strategy teams and key suppliers to ensure the program-level plan is deliverable, driving a best for program approach that enables aligned, efficient delivery across a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
Experience delivering ETCS or digital signalling projects in a planning and project delivery capacity is essential, bringing a strong understanding of digital signalling environments and their associated complexities.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of integrated project and program plans, ensuring alignment to overall delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain the delivery strategy and roadmaps to deliver the desired outcomes for the program.
- Identifies the priorities to deliver the plan and communicates the priorities with the program team.
- Develop mitigation strategies and acceleration opportunities to adapt to the internal and external factors influencing the delivery of the program.
- Engage and influence key internal stakeholders and suppliers to manage planning risks and issues and pave the way for coordinated delivery.
- Own and manage integrated planning frameworks, including roadmaps, schedules and delivery blueprints.
- Collaborate with engineering, technical and delivery leads to resolve cross-project issues and ensure alignment.
- Ensure all decisions and planning activities support a ‘best for program’ outcome.
- Monitor progress against plans, proactively identifying risks, issues and dependencies, and driving resolution.
- Coordinate interfaces across teams to ensure alignment with the overall schedule and delivery approach.
- Maintain oversight of key risks, issues and actions, ensuring appropriate tracking and escalation.
- Support the development of clear reporting, dashboards and visualisations to communicate progress and performance.
- Contribute to strategic reviews and continuous improvement initiatives from a planning and delivery perspective.
About You
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in project and programme delivery, including risk management across complex environments.
- Experience delivering ETCS or digital signalling projects, in a planning and project delivery capacity.
- Knowledge in project scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6), with the ability to lead the management of complex, integrated schedules.
- Sound understanding of major infrastructure projects and the full project lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of planning, governance, and risk management principles and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder and interface management skills, with the ability to engage both senior leaders and technical SMEs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly summarise complex issues.
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and ability to work in line with governance, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving capability and a focus on delivery outcomes.
Desirable
- Experience delivering change, transformation or compliance-focused projects.
- Relevant formal qualifications in project and/or risk management.
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in a related discipline.
