About you:

- Food hygiene, health & safety and first aid knowledge.
- Ability to work flexibly and understanding of equality issues.
- An understanding of the specialist needs of the client and an understanding of issues arising within the specialist area.

- Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
- Good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills & strong IT skills.
Job Role:
- 3 Month Contract.
- Supporting the Locality Manager with daily management to delivery safe and quality person-centred care through designated supernumerary hours.
- Will provide supervision and support to staff.
- Flexibility required to carry out two shifts per week on the floor.
- An understanding of the specialist needs of the client and an understanding of issues arising within the specialist area.
- Development of service user independence by providing support and care that meets individual needs.
- Ensuring wellbeing and promoting independence of the service users.
- Ensuring effective service delivery by maintaining accurate financial, administration and other records as required to comply with statutory, local, and organisational policy and procedure.
- Embedding procedure & compliance, whilst supporting staff.

The Service:
The home comprises of two self-flats, one operates as a registered care home providing respite breaks for adults with learning disabilities whilst the first floor flat provides supported living for 4 people with complex needs. The service is located close to local amenities including transport links, shops and supermarkets. Tenants who live at the service and guests who stay in the respite service have the opportunity to take advantage of the leisure and cultural activities offered on the North Greenwich peninsula and in historic central Greenwich
