The Role

We are looking to recruit a Higher Level support workers to be based at Hedley’s Horizons  in Forest Hall within the music department. The role will involve assisting the activity lead and helping to support in the delivery music sessions, and also taking the lead in these sessions themselves.

The successful candidate will need to have an understanding of the recording software, how to configure music equipment, and manage live events, while also possessing a flair for musical creativity.

Hedley’s Horizons helps to support individuals to participate in a variety of activities and enterprise sessions.  It offers a busy, vibrant, and varied environment that supports adults with disabilities such as autism, communication and sensory impairments and complex needs. 

It is important to be a real team player. Flexibility with an ability to adapt and respond to evolving situations is an important skill for our team that helps us maintain the highest level of care and support. Due to the nature of this role a minimum of 2 years experience working as a support worker is essential and experience of working with individuals with ASC or PMLD would be desirable.

The role will primarily be based in Forest Hall, but you must have flexibility to work across our other site in Killingworth.
