What is the role?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry Supervisor to join Persimmon Direct. This role reports into the Head of Carpentry.

The purpose of this role is to oversee Carpentry Supervision on the East Wales sites.

The role will include:

Key responsibilities are daily labour supervision, management of quality control checks, Health & Safety and achieving high standards of organisation skills to maintain sufficient labour to ensure sites are run efficiently.  The role requires proficiency and ability to read and understand drawings.  You will be required to conduct TBT when required, produce control and material checks and assist in analysing labour costings.

What we need from you?

The role requires a confident team leader with a proven track record in a Site Supervisor role, ideally in a house building environment.  You will possess the knowledge and experience to ensure compliance to build and safety standards.  Ideally, you will have a valid Gold CSCS Card along with current SSSTS, although we can arrange training to undertake this.  Other qualifications such as BTEC or NVQ4 in Site Management, current First Aid Certificate would be an advantage.  Full UK driving licence required.

A good understanding of all aspects of Site Carpentry is required including timber frame.  Exceptional organisation, supervisory and motivational skills to enable you to drive and inspire your team to the highest standards.  A methodical and analytical thought process with strong communication skills enabling you to report clearly on production process and quality.  This challenging role offers a dynamic and driven individual to develop their skills and career.  You will be highly motivated, possessing ability to multitask and be driven towards excellence.
