Apple Tree House is a 3 bedroomed home for children with learning disabilities.

Apple Tree House is a well-run, attractive home in a residential area. We are within walking distance of Weymouth town centre and have great transport links both by bus and train. The home is a large spacious house with a homely feel, that helps support our young people to feel safe.

The ages of the children that live with us can range between 8 and 18.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will encourage and guide the young people you support to settle overnight and ensure they feel safe and secure in our homely environment.
  • You will be cooking, cleaning and supporting with everyday tasks, depending on the child’s ability.
  • Providing personal care.

Who you are:

  • Experience of working in children’s residential home is preferred.
  • The young people we support have said that they want someone “with a great sense of humour, that will have fun and be understanding, patient and enjoy spending time with us”.
  • You are enthusiastic, compassionate and love working with children.
  • You are motivated, flexible and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
