Support Worker

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Waking Night Support Worker.

This position is based in Rochdale; however, interviews will be held at our service in Bury.

Arbury House is a Supported Living Service designed to support people with learning disabilities and/or autism to promote their independence in a safe environment. The service is situated in the heart of Rochdale, just five minutes from the town centre.  Arbury is also very close to various public transport links, with easy access to nearby towns and cities such as Manchester, Middleton, and Bury

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Promoting independence and supporting with daily activities.
  • Taking part in the chosen activities and interests of the people we support, both within the service and out in the community.
  • Supporting individuals with their personal, physical, and emotional needs throughout the night.
  • Completion of nightly duties, including domestic and administrative tasks.
  • Personal care.

Who you are:

  • The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.
  • Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Motivated and a team player.
  • Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism is preferred, but not essential.
  • Waking Nights shift time is 9:45 pm to 8:15 am.
  • Weekend and Bank holiday working is required.
  • Driver with a manual license preferred, but not essential.
