Support Worker
We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support worker at our service in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Ashgrove is a residential service where we support adults who have varied needs including learning disabilities and complex needs.
We’re just a 5 minute drive away from many facilities in Barry and only a 20 minute drive from Cardiff.

What you’ll be doing:
- You'll support our residents on a 1-1 basis, promoting independence
- Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs
- Personal care will be required
- Taking part in the chosen activities of the people that live with us
- Typically, 3 long days per week, shifts time - 6:45am to 7:30pm, 7:30am to 8:30pm and 8am to 9pm. Will involve weekend and bank holiday working
Who you are:
- Experience supporting similar needs in a similar setting is preferred but not essential
- You’re positive and highly motivated with the ability to encourage the people we support and promote their independence
- You’re flexible with a can do attitude and have a real passion for making a difference in the lives of others
- You will be willing to take part in the chosen activities and likes of the people we support
- Drivers preferred but not essential
