Support Worker
We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Support Workers.
Darlington Supported living provide support and care to individuals in Darlington who have learning disabilities and/or mental health related needs. The people we support may require assistance with activities of daily living including personal care. Our goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where individuals can thrive and receive necessary support to live fulfilling lives.
We currently support 10 people over 5 homes within Darlington and the wider area.

- £12.21 per hour.
- Full time 40 hours per week.
- Shifts will be between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm. Shifts can change to suit the needs of the people we support, so flexibility is a must. Sleep-ins, weekend, and bank holiday working will be required.

What you’ll be doing:
- Promoting independence and supporting with daily activities.
- Taking part in the chosen activities and interests of the people we support, both within the service and out in the community.
- Personal care.
- Supporting with finances, budgets, and shopping.
- Supporting one to one.
Who you are:
- Shifts can change to suit the needs of the people we support, so flexibility is a must.
- The successful candidate will have the aptitude, desire, and commitment to work in social care with adults with a variety of needs.
- Flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- Motivated and a team player.
- Experience working in a social care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism is preferred, but not essential.
