We have an excellent opportunity for a Channels & Content Lead to join our Internal Communications Team, directly reporting into our Senior Internal Communications Manager working collaboratively with the team to delivery and manage our internal communication channels and their content, including the PBS intranet, weekly e-news and supporting our move to colleague storytelling in written and video forms.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure on time delivery of all channels and content to a high standard
  • Follow the agreed people-focused editorial policy and ensuring colleague voice features prominently in our channels and content
  • Develop the PBS intranet so that it is a vibrant communications and resources hub, working with page owners to ensure all content is up to date
  • Develop a vibrant social channel (currently Viva Engage but envisaged to be integrated into new intranet platform solution planned for 2025)
  • Seek out stories that reinforce key business messages
  • Establish clear governance to run our channels and measure engagement with content
  • Manage our channel vendors and platforms i.e. intranet provider and email marketing platform to ensure we maximise effective use of the platforms and their functionality
  • Field and action requests from the business for campaigns and updates to be featured across our key channels
  • Work closely with the Internal Communication Business Partners on priority content for their areas.

Essential Criiteria:

  • Excellent writing and editing ability to journalist standard, with great storytelling skills
  • Ability to manage and leverage the capabilities of our communications platforms including Poppulo and Easyshare / new intranet platform
  • Great stakeholder management skills
  • Planning and prioritising skills
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and deliver on time
  • Experience of working in a busy internal communications team
  • Experience of managing and delivering a set of integrated internal channels
  • Experience of writing and editing internal channels
  • Experience of video production

Desirable Criteria:

  • Video filming and editing skills
  • Experience in a similar role
