Are you passionate about shaping great customer outcomes and helping an organisation navigate an evolving regulatory landscape? We’re looking for a Compliance & Conduct Business Partner to join our Compliance & Conduct team and play a pivotal role in ensuring we operate with integrity, transparency, and a forward‑looking approach to regulation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration, strategic thinking, and working with others to make meaningful change.

About the role

As a subject matter expert, you’ll be at the heart of emerging regulatory and conduct developments. You’ll interpret complex regulatory change, assess its impact, and partner with teams across the Society to ensure we proactively meet our compliance obligations while keeping our customers’ needs front and centre.

You’ll build strong relationships with internal partners at all levels, offering guidance, challenge, and assurance throughout strategic initiatives and major projects. Your insight will help shape our approach to culture, conduct, and customer outcomes—ensuring we continue to meet high standards and maintain positive regulatory relationships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assess emerging regulation, regulatory expectations and industry developments, providing early insight and shaping Principality’s approach to regulatory and conduct change.
  • Business Partnering with allocated key business areas, project teams and senior stakeholders to support, challenge and provide second-line assurances on regulatory and conduct requirements throughout the change lifecycle.
  • Providing expert advice which is pragmatic and tailored to key business areas, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear, proportionate and deliverable outcomes.
  • Supporting effective governance and oversight of regulatory change, including contributing to high-quality Executive and Board-level papers and decision-making.
  • Championing good customer outcomes and conduct standards, supporting Principality’s open, constructive and transparent engagement with regulators.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone who can combine or deep expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills:

  • You will have at least 5 years’ experience operating in a senior second-line compliance role, or leading and delivering complex regulatory change within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders and contributing to governance‑level discussions.
  • An understanding of key financial services products (e.g. mortgages, savings, protection).
  • Confidence assessing complex regulatory change and turning insight into action.
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to build trust, influence effectively, communicate clearly and provide objective independent challenge.
  • A commitment to delivering fair customer outcomes and helping shape a healthy culture.

You’ll join a supportive, knowledgeable team and work closely with colleagues across the Society. We value new ideas, continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to change. In return, we offer a workplace where everyone's contribution is recognised and respected.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and help us shape a responsible, customer‑focused future.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a high volume of applications.
