We are looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to provide senior technical leadership within our IT function.

This role is focused on technical leadership, standards, and execution. You will work hands‑on as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, designing and evolving platforms that enable teams to build, test, and deploy software securely, reliably, and with minimal friction.

You will play a key role in shaping how platform capabilities are designed, adopted, and evolved, acting as a technical authority and senior escalation point while contributing directly through engineering work.

What you’ll be doing

Technical leadership & standards

  • Provide technical leadership for platform engineering, setting and evolving standards, patterns, and “paved roads” for software delivery.
  • Lead by example through hands‑on engineering, architectural input, and technical decision‑making.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex platform, CI/CD, and environment‑related issues.

Platform engineering (internal product mindset)

  • Design, build, and operate platform capabilities as an internal product, with a strong focus on developer experience, self‑service, and repeatability.
  • Provide shared tooling, workflows, and automation that reduce cognitive load for delivery teams.
  • Continuously improve the platform based on adoption, feedback, and delivery outcomes.

Cloud, DevOps & automation

  • Design and operate CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment management across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide strong technical leadership in Azure, ensuring platform capabilities are secure, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Define and evolve platform capabilities using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, to ensure consistency, auditability, and resilience.

Roadmap & collaboration

  • Contribute to the platform engineering roadmap, balancing immediate delivery needs with longer‑term platform evolution.
  • Work closely with delivery teams, infrastructure, security, and governance functions to ensure the platform enables fast, safe change.

What you’ll bring
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong experience operating as a senior or lead platform / DevOps / SRE engineer.
  • Proven ability to lead through execution, making sound technical decisions and unblocking teams.
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform.
  • Experience supporting the full software delivery lifecycle, including non‑functional requirements such as security, availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Experience contributing to or building internal developer platforms, self‑service environments, or paved roads.
  • Exposure to OutSystems and/or MuleSoft (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working in regulated financial services or enterprise environments (desirable not essential)

If you’re excited about leading by example and building pragmatic, high‑impact platforms that help teams deliver great software faster and safer, we’d love to hear from you.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a high volume of applications.
