Operational Excellence Coach

We have a fantastic opportunity for an internal colleague to work in the Operational Excellence Team as an Operational Excellence Coach.

The purpose of the role is to coach teams and team leaders to utilise and embed Operational Excellence tools across the business and facilitate the usage of these tools to drive OE across the business. The OE coach will build capability across the business and support with wave rollout, training, coaching and provide expertise to embed the new ways of working across the business and enable the business to deliver sustainable OE.

What you’ll be doing:

Change Initiative Support

  • Coaching and support 1-2 teams per rollout
  • Embedding OE tools and driving change
  • Support with Data Analysis

COE Support & Maintenance

  • Supporting OE sustainability
  • OE wave planning and pipeline management
  • OE Improvement and maintenance

OE Capability Development

  • Support OE training & LCS support to the business
  • Supporting running of VTLP & management
  • OE coaching across PBS

Ops Performance & Benefit Management

  • Support teams in creating and maintaining an operational performance focus
  • Identify and track benefits
  • Benefit visualisation
  • Support benefit sign off and realisation

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in multiple Operational Excellence deployments
  • Proven practitioner of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence methodologies and tools
  • Experienced in applying Change Management approaches and tools
  • Strong planning capability, using structured planning tools and techniques
  • Skilled in data analysis, including the use of statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab)
  • Broad knowledge across strategy development, customer and colleague experience, operational management, finance, and risk methodologies
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience creating dashboards and visual management tools
  • Competent in using virtual collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Mural)
  • Confident in facilitating and managing workshops in both in-person and virtual environments
