The role…

This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer focused Individual to make a real Impact. The Society's purpose is to "Build a nation of savers and help everyone have a place to call home" and the proposition team are fundamental to making this happen. You will bring a passion for the customer together with an ability to analyse insight and market Information and from this, you will develop proposition ideas and proposals aligned to our product and proposition strategy & roadmap. Your focus will be on developing customer focused mortgage & savings propositions for delivery in the society's digital, branch, broker and telephony channels. We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of our products and the process that support them, you will be an adaptable, fast learner and a real people person as you will be mobilising teams around the organisation to support and deliver the propositions that you are championing.  Proposition development experience is desired but not essential, so this could be an opportunity to develop in a new area with support of an established team.

How you'll make a difference

  • Manage the development of market differentiated Product Propositions in line with our product and proposition roadmap
  • Ensure we’re insight and research led, work with research, insight & strategy to maintain a strong understanding of our target customer segments and external influences
  • Collaborative working and stakeholder management with a variety of business functions to oversee successful delivery of new propositions
  • Analysis and reporting of the success of propositions and refining as appropriate
  • Regular monitoring and reporting of market and consumer insights to identify any trends or opportunities and share with the wider business as appropriate
  • Development and presentation of business cases and committee papers to obtain approval for new product or proposition developments
  • Work effectively with partners and suppliers

What you'll bring to the role

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • Track record of collaborating with key stakeholders to manage and deliver projects
  • Understanding and experience in FS sector, its products and regulatory environment
  • Experience in developing propositions for distinct consumer segments desired but not essential
  • Product and / or proposition management and development experience in FS (or similar) environment desired but not essential

COMPETENCIES

  • Must display a passion for the customer
  • Solid understanding of technology and project management
  • Clear, concise communicator – written/oral, able to communicate effectively
  • Influencing and networking skills
  • Knowledge of our mortgage and savings products and the processes that support them
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Experience in planning
