We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant to join us, supporting stakeholders across our business with their cost budgets and financial decision and offers exposure to departments all across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Providing financial support to a variety of business areas to assist them in managing their budgets and forecasts effectively and providing financial input/support where required.
  • You will be required to carry out variance analysis & explain reasons for changes to anticipated spend. 
  • The role will require the ability to be self-motivated, to take ownership and be proactive in investigating problems and solutions.

Responsibilities you’ll have: 

  • Supporting business areas with budgets, forecast and cost management
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Providing financial support & guidance to enable decision making across the organisation
  • Supporting and coaching junior members of the team
  • Communicating with a variety of stakeholders at a variety of levels including Senior

Management & Exec 

  • Proactively investigating problems and potential solutions
  • Collaboratively work with and support other team members

Experience you’ll bring: 

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
  • Experience of business budgeting processes including analysis, cost reporting and variance analysis
  • Excellent stakeholder management at a variety of levels including senior management & Exec 
  • Knowledge of balance sheet and margin mechanics
  • Experience in financial services
