A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Regulated Sales team as a Training & Competence Lead Associate on a 12-month secondment.

We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about development, thrives in a coaching environment, and is committed to supporting colleagues in delivering outstanding service to our members. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support the Training Lead in operationalising the Lending & Savings Training Agenda
  • Design and deliver training and coaching solutions that meet the needs of Lending & Savings & provide colleagues with the knowledge and skills required to attain, maintain and advance their competence in role in line with the requirements of the Good Practice Guide (GPG) & Training & Competency Scheme.
  • Utilise the findings from all oversight activities and complaints root cause analysis to ensure training and coaching activities focus on maximising individual performance, customer experience whilst encouraging ongoing continuous improvement. Coaching and feedback should be used to enhance, maintain or improve colleague performance through observing, sharing knowledge and expertise, and providing encouragement to continuously self-improve.
  • Provide bespoke, individual development plans to support colleagues when required
  • Perform regular reviews of individual’s training progress, evidencing all relevant training materials on Worksmart and working closely with Lending & Savings Manager to carry out regular assessments of competency.
  • Maintain an awareness of the Society’s policies and procedures and adhere to them.
  • Demonstrate the Society’s values and appropriate behaviours.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Good knowledge of our product suite and sales process.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and coach teams or individuals.
  • Experience using customer databases/systems effectively.
  • A track record of delivering excellent performance in a savings & lending environment.

Qualifications:

  • CeMAP or equivalent qualification is desirable.
