Sous Chef

Salary £32,000 per annum
40 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Emerson College runs a busy year‐round café and kitchen supporting courses, residential groups, visitors, and events. As Sous Chef, you’ll help produce high‐quality, nutritious meals using biodynamic, organic, seasonal, or locally sourced ingredients, working closely with the Head Chef and Café Manager to ensure all food reflects the College’s values and standards.
You’ll assist with daily service, menu development, and catering for meetings and events while contributing to the smooth running, cleanliness, and sustainability of the kitchen. This is an active, community‐focused role requiring a calm, organised approach.
Evening and weekend work will be required on a rota basis to meet the needs of a busy, year‐round hospitality setting.
