Cafe Supervisor, part-time
Based in Forest Row, East Suffolk
Pay Range £12.93 - £13.52 per hour
(Dependant on experience)
20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Evening and weekend working will be required on a rota basis.
In this role you will:
• Act as a lead presence on shift, supporting the smooth and safe running of the café
• Provide warm, professional customer service and role‑model excellent café standards
• Support and guide Café Assistants during service, allocating tasks as needed
• Prepare and serve food and beverages to Emerson Café standards
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and allergen awareness
• Support opening and closing procedures, stock monitoring, and basic cash handling
• Maintain a welcoming, well‑organised café environment aligned with College values
We are looking for someone who:
• Has Barista Experience working in a café or hospitality environment
• Has experience supporting or supervising colleagues during busy service periods
• Delivers consistently high standards of customer service
• Understands food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety procedures
• Communicates clearly and supports teamwork
• Remains calm, organised, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
• Is reliable, flexible and able to work evenings and weekends
