Job Purpose:

Due to the continued growth and development of this division this new role of CG Data & Operations Co-ordinator has been created. The CG Data & Operations Co-ordinator will support the CG Data & Operations manager in developing and maintaining the operational and data systems, to improve operations and the capability of the business from a data and analysis perspective. The CG Data & Operations co-ordinator will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and support of key CG data system and delivery of CG Data & operational objectives,  working closely with internal and external providers to deliver improvements.  This includes adherence to integrity standards and competition rulebooks, as well as GDPR compliance.

On the data and insights front, the co-ordinator will support the CG Data & Operations manager with enhancing data storage, accessibility, visualisation, and reporting systems. They will coordinate communication and workflow related to data and insights within the CG division. The role also involves improving data governance and data quality measures, and enhancing data literacy across the division. 

The successful candidate will ideally have some experience within the esports/sports industry and experience within broadcasting. A key element of the role will be supporting the CG & Data Operations manager with developing the data systems by liaising with the development team, alongside supporting, training, and documentation. 

  

Location: Milton Keynes, with travel to other locations as the business may require. Reasonable business travel expenses will be covered.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Technical Development

  • Support for current technical aspects of CG
  • Support implementation, testing and training of new systems
  • Work with wider business to assist needs of CG
  • Stay informed with Competitive Gaming roadmap and updates
  • Support with studio related issues
  • Lead change management for CG (CAB)
  • Oversight of all tactical tech in CG operations.

 

Data and Insights

  • Use data solutions to explore datapoints to assist the intelligence needs of the business
  • Create & maintain reporting and dashboards for business intelligence and data analysis & insights requirements
  • Assist CG Data & Operations Manager in relation to day to day requirements, housekeeping and issue resolution
  • Assist CG Data & Operations Manager with improvements to data systems

 

Customer Service

  • Communicate with internal and external clients to develop and ensure a smooth delivery of services to the customer, as well as ensuring effective communication to clients & operations teams on on-air issues
  • Provide a best in class level of customer service in terms of delivery and support to both internal and external customers
  • Comprehends the importance of changing technology trends to the media and entertainment business and can discuss this with the customer in a productive fashion

 

Teamwork

  • Support the Operations Managers as operational liaison with all other departments within the company, especially Trading Operations, Technology Operations, Product Proposition and Finance
  • Lead, motivate and inspire a team
  • Instil a culture of individual accountability and ownership within the team

 

Skills and Experience:

 

Essential Requirements

  • Good knowledge of the sports, esports and video game industry and trends
  • Highly innovative and technical minded
  • Understanding of databases and analytical tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills
  • Capability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined teams, in a variety of locations, involved in the end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload efficiently with set timelines
  • Results driven with a focus on the key inputs to deliver the desired results
  • Knowledge of Betting Industry (both Digital and Retail preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with expertise in excel including scripting
  • Management experience
  • Setting and managing departmental KPIs

 

Desired Requirements

  • Proven and reliable events/production operator including production knowledge.
  • Proven experience of working with gamers, casters and referees
  • Expertise in esports tournaments organising, including format and schedule creation
  • Knowledge of FIFA and NBA games
  • Knowledge of the following applications: OBS, Companion, Cartography, SQL, Linux Command Line and Rotacloud
