Management Accountant

This is a 3 or 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

The Management Accountant will support the Head of Management Accounts and Reporting in all aspects of SIS Betting Management Accounts. This will involve the preparation of timely, accurate and relevant financial management information to meet the needs of the Senior Management across SIS Betting.

Key Responsibilities

Management Accounts

  • Preparing actual results vs. budgets/forecasts, variance analysis and narrative on the monthly results for Support cost centres
  • Month end accrual and prepayment calculations and other nominal ledger journals; in line with needs of Product / Content Profitability reporting
  • Cost centre review and analysis alongside balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring
  • Preparing additional supporting analysis and KPI’s to feed into the monthly management reporting packs
  • Preparation of key reporting information, liaising with applicable managers to ensure that costs are being properly recorded and managed and variances investigated and explained


  • Control and maintenance of the Fixed Assets and Stock modules in Sage, including reporting, depreciation, acquisitions, disposals and reconciliation
  • Assisting with the preparation of forecasts (were necessary) for SIS Betting. Support the rest of the SIS Betting finance team in all processes surrounding this, including liaising with cost centre managers and helping review financial performance of their area compared to budget and forecast
  • Assistance on ensuring prompt digital billing
  • Assistance with maintenance and reporting using QlikSense tool
  • Othe adhoc financial information and reports as required by Senior management 

Skills and Experience 

  • Preferable to be undertaking studies towards a professional qualification.
  • Experience within a similar role.
  • Experience of finance systems, preferably a large system such as Sage 1000, SAP or similar and an advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of database reporting tools an advantage.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, particularly in communicating with a wide range of people and helping to create a harmonious and effective working environment.
  • Strong aptitude for business process improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to take initiative in problem solving.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and being flexible in approach.
  • To be able to work under pressure and to a high quality whilst ensuring timely delivery of duties.
