ABOUT THE ROLE
Join Spurgeons Birmingham Family Hubs as a Family & Community Liaison Navigator, playing a vital role in engaging local communities and enhancing family services. You will work closely with community partners to identify service gaps, develop solutions, and empower parents and carers to shape services that meet their needs. Your focus will be on amplifying the voices of families, ensuring they are central to service design and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include developing partnerships, facilitating community engagement, promoting volunteer opportunities, and leading co-design initiatives. Acting as the first point of contact, you will guide families to relevant services, fostering trust and building resilience. This role is perfect for those passionate about community engagement, partnership development, and advocating for families. Your contributions will help create responsive, inclusive services that have a lasting positive impact on children, young people, and families in Birmingham.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a confident, resourceful, and adaptable individual who thrives on community engagement and collaboration. You will bring significant experience working in partnership with diverse agencies to enhance service outcomes for children, young people, and families. Your background should include using community development principles to drive meaningful change, planning and coordinating community activities, and facilitating co-production with service users. Your strong communication skills and creative approach will help you effectively engage parents and communities, demonstrating clear, impactful outcomes. You will be skilled in developing, monitoring, and evaluating services, using data to inform and show the impact of your work. Additionally, your ability to prioritise, manage workloads, and meet deadlines is essential, as is your competency in report writing and presenting to various audiences. Self-motivated, organised, and committed to quality-driven results, you possess a perceptive and personable nature that makes you a valued team player in fostering inclusive, resilient community support.
