We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our friendly small team.  This is a hybrid role; 3 days per week in the office with the option of 2 days per week working from home/remotely.  You will play a key role in the full recruitment cycle for residential staff ensuring vacancies are filled quickly and effectively in accordance with St Christopher’s safer recruitment framework.

There maybe occasional travel to the Isle of Man to support managers with recruitment campaigns.

Key Aspect of the Role

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process of residential staff for St Christopher’s services, writing and placing engaging adverts, shortlisting, arranging and attending interviews, providing feedback to candidates liaising closely with Wider Management Team, with the People Team and home managers to anticipate and predict need.
  • Implement a volunteer recruitment in collaboration with the wider team in accordance with St Chris policies.
  • Liaise with universities, colleges, schools to proactively promote St Chris job opportunities and attend job fairs and other recruitment networking events as required.
  • Enhance the candidates experience, act as a St Christopher’s ambassador promoting our employer brand.
  • Build collaborative relationships with operational managers within St Christopher’s to fully understand service needs and the operational issues relating to staff rotas.
  • Ensure recruitment for Operations is consistent and fair, non-discriminatory, conforms to statutory regulations and best practice within the sector.

Applicants should have

  • At least one year’s experience working directly in a role with children and young people, ideally in a residential setting.
  • Experience as an interview panel member adhering to safer recruitment best practice.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good interviewing and listening skills.
  • Awareness of data protection and an understanding of how to manage confidential information
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to identify all key steps and resources needed to complete a task.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Teams.
