About the Role

Mainstream school life is often a challenge for young people in the care system, our job is to enable them to pursue their ambitions in education, work and leisure.

We aim to help young people develop core skills – both practical and academic, deepen their interests and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, tailored to individual needs, working with the rest of the team to ensure our young people are provided with appropriate educational opportunities.

We believe everyone has a right to learn in the way that suits them best. There is no such thing as a typical anything about this job. The position includes predominately working within our Children’s Secure Home and in a peripatetic role with our young people in the residential homes. Bring your imagination to help create a bespoke learning package.

About Us

Our vision is for every child and young person to be safe, loved and happy, to achieve their potential and have a bright future.

St Christopher's is a leading charity for children and young people. We have a passionate commitment to our young people, placing them at the centre of everything we do. We provide positive life experiences for young people who are unable to sustain a placement in their parental or foster home.

We are an equal-opportunity employer keen to develop an inclusive workforce where people feel they belong. We hope to attract applications from under- represented groups, including people from different cultures, nationalities, socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, disabilities, religions, faith, sex, orientation, childcare responsibilities, and gender-diverse identities.#
