We are currently recruiting for a permanent Data Analysist role, to support St Christopher’s with running, development and implementation of management information systems necessary to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the organisation in line with the corporate strategy and business plans. They are also to ensure robust data protection and complaints processes are maintained.

About the Role

The Data Analysist key duties are:

Maintain, development and Implementation of organisational information systems.

  • To maintain and develop systems which provide the management information required by the organisation.
  • To collate and analyse management information to present to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in the forms required.
  • To support the SLT in identifying the information required to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the organisation including performance against the organisational strategy, its impact and risks and implement appropriate system for collection and reporting. .
  • To provide analysis showing how the interventions and actions of the charity improve outcomes for young people and benchmark these against other organisations and/or national statistics
  • To collate and disseminate findings from internal and external reports which relate to the performance of the organisation.

 Contribute to the Measurement and Monitoring of Service Effectiveness

  • To ensure accurate and timely quarterly returns are submitted to key Commissioners.
  • To provide guidance and support to the organisation in setting, monitoring and measurement of service outcomes and performance.
  • To support the senior leadership team in identifying and implementing the information systems they require to effectively manage our services.
  • To collect and collate management information in relation to service effectiveness as required by the SLT.

 Data Protection

  • To act as the Deputy DPO for St Christopher’s
  • To provide advice and guidance to the organisation on all aspects of data protection legislation compliance.
  • To process Subject Assess Requests.
  • To triage any breach reports for response by yourself or the Company Secretary.
  • To maintain formal records of all data processing activities.
  • To provide GDPR training to staff as required.

Complaints

To act as St Christopher’s Complaints Manager for both the UK and IOM.

Applicants should have

The Ideal Candidate would have:   

  • Knowledge of setting outcomes and measures to demonstrate these have been achieved.
  • Well-developed numeric and literacy skills at a level that would enable the post holder to process complex reports and statistical statements
  • Able to analyse complex information and collate into clear and concise written reports and/or electronic presentation.
  • A deep understanding of the Data Protection Legislation gained through a qualification or significant experience
  • Experience of working to support various organisational levels including the Senior Leadership Team and enabling, facilitating and contributing to their work.
  • Experience of developing and implementing management information systems in a complex and dispersed organisation.
  • Experience of the production and retrieval of management information using IT.
  • Able to influence others in order to progress effective use of management information systems.
  • Able to effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders from a variety of teams and positions
  • Able to demonstrate a concern for accuracy ensuring that data used in reports is both reliable and up to date.
  • Able to organise own workload and work on own initiative.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to manage projects.
  • Able to work with individuals/group to identify management information and other needs in relation to data processing and information sharing, and provide solutions to these.
  • Expert level in Excel and Power Bi
  • Experience of using Databases
