PAIT Engagement Coordinator (Internal Only)

Do you have a passion for working with other people and want to play a part in making the residents of West Yorkshire Safer?  

You can help West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service as our Prevention Assurance and Improvement Team (PAIT) Engagement Coordinator, joining an established team, working flexibly to develop, implement and evaluate a range of projects which generate opportunities to improve service and reduce risk.

You will:

  • be enthusiastic, have highly developed communication skills and experience of working in the community, along with the drive to share knowledge and best practice.
  • demonstrate an excellent understanding of the issues affecting the communities of West Yorkshire and be able to encourage and inspire behaviour change.
  • be able to interpret data to identify emerging trends, lead on projects, identify and work with key stakeholders to understand the issues related to specific risks within communities across West Yorkshire.
  • have excellent organisational skills and be self-motivated.
  • work with the existing team and on your own to identify evidence-based approaches to risk reduction.  

The role benefits from a flexi-time scheme, including hybrid working giving the post holder the opportunity to work flexible hours subject to business commitments. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you will work both in the office and from home as part of our 'hybrid' working model, so you will need a reliable home internet connection.  

The post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check and the possession of a full valid driving licence.
