Job Purpose: As a dynamic and innovative Fire and Rescue Service, we're committed to embracing digital transformation to enhance efficiency and facilitate change. We are seeking a motivated Junior ICT Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation of ICT initiatives across the organisation.  

Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Junior Project Manager include Development of project plans and timelines and diligent maintenance of project documentation. Responsibility for monitoring, driving and accurately reporting project progress. Defining and implementing project risk, quality and resource plans. Using effective communications strategies to build positive and collaborative relationships with stakeholders. Contributing positively towards change management across the organisation and supporting strategic programme and portfolio planning.  

Essential requirements:

  1. Proven track record of ICT project delivery using a project methodology and lifecycle.
  2. Experience managing a small team of cross-functional resources.
  3. Strong understanding of project management principles.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on risk management and escalation.
  6. APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), Prince2, or Agile Project Management certification.  

We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid working. Whilst you will be required to work from our offices for parts of your initial training, after this you'll work both in the office and from home as part of our 'hybrid' working model. Therefore, applicants must also have a car available for work purposes with valid business insurance and have a reliable home internet connection.  

The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check and the possession of current valid driving licence.
