Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday between 8am and 6pm.

About the role
Are you ready to lead with purpose and help shape the future of social housing? We’re looking for a passionate and driven Allocations & Lettings Team Leader to guide our team in delivering fair, efficient, and customer-focused lettings services.
In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of a high-performing allocations team, ensuring homes are allocated in line with policy and with care. You’ll:
- Manage and motivate a multi-skilled team, fostering growth and accountability
- Monitor performance against key metrics like relet times, void loss, and property availability
- Analyse team performance and recommend improvements to enhance impact
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including local authorities
- Maintain your own caseload, directly contributing to the allocation of homes
- Champion excellent customer service and ensure every interaction is respectful, inclusive, and solution-focused

Salary
The salary for the Allocations & Lettings Team Leader post is £35,277 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.
About you:
- CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice or equivalent (or willingness to work towards) or qualified through experience.
- Experience in lettings or allocations, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and operational requirements.
- Proven experience building successful working relationships with external partners, particularly within the housing sector.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications and specific business software.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
- Strong record-keeping skills with knowledge of GDPR.
