Finance Apprentice

We’re looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance team in Bradford.

About the role and person:

  • 35 hours
  • 2 year Fixed Term Contract

As a Finance Apprentice, you will support the Finance and Reporting Accounting teams in accurately posting transactions, reconciling financial information, assist with production of draft finance reports. This role will support the team to produce accurate and timely information to key stakeholders. You will develop valuable skills in processes to support the Finance and Reporting team, business knowledge and the production of analysis to support business decisions which help contribute to Accent’s overall financial and business goals.

As an Apprentice, you will be an integral part of your assigned team while working towards achieving your professional qualification. This role provides a valuable opportunity to learn, develop, and make meaningful contributions to the organisation's success. You’ll gain hands-on experience across different areas of the business, building practical skills in a supportive and structured environment. Salary

The spot salary for this post is £22,932 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Finance Apprentice?

  • Maths and English GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
  • Commitment to complete a qualification while working.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance work and learning responsibilities effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with a positive and proactive attitude towards learning.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrating reliability, dedication, and a proactive approach to learning and task completion, with the ability to maintain motivation and high performance in a dynamic work environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills able to effectively engage with colleagues and stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and collaboration.
  • Teamwork and independence, able to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to shared goals, while also showing the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative on individual tasks
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of experienced colleagues, showing attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, with a willingness to learn finance systems and software.

Location

The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford office.

We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.

We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
