We’re looking for a Finance Manager – Development & Assets Compliance to join our Finance team in Bradford or Peterborough.

About the role and person:

  • Direct line management responsibility

As our Finance Manager – Development & Assets Compliance, you’ll help Accent continue to deliver high-quality homes that transform communities and lives by building strong relationships with our Development, Assets and Sales and Homeownership teams, providing them with timely financial information to drive informed decision-making. You will ensure that financial processes are accurately maintained, forecasts are reliable, and financial appraisals meet the organisation's strategic goals.

Your contribution will help steer Accent’s asset related initiatives towards sustainable and impactful growth. You’ll provide a bridge between the Development and Growth, Assets & Compliance teams to the Treasury team in respect of the management of future refinancing requirements and providing interim reviews to measure/review the impact on the financial plan to support Homes England funding bids.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £62,125 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants, who do not meet all the requirements of the post, will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

What skills/behaviours do you need to be a Finance Manager – Development & Assets Compliance?

  • Recognised Accountancy Qualification (CCAB) or significant relevant experience
  • Experience in preparing and presenting high-quality management accounts
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Proven ability to interpret and monitor development financial appraisals
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to audit requirements
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Understanding of relevant accounting standards a Commitment to continuous professional development

Location

The successful candidate will be required to live within a commutable distance to our Bradford or Peterborough office.

We’re a keen promoter of agile working and encourage working from home, as long as we meet our customers’ needs.

We’ll provide you with the equipment and software you’ll need for the purpose of your role however it will be your responsibility to have an appropriate space to work from as well as a suitable broadband connection/provider.
