Contract: Fixed term until 31 July 2026, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)
Salary: £32,163 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Manchester (The role will be based at Manchester; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)
Arts Council England has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Services Officer to join our inclusive and collaborative team. This full-time Officer, Customer Services role is based in Manchester and comes with a salary of £32,163 per annum and excellent benefits.
You will be delivering Customer Services for Arts Council England by overseeing staff and resources, ensuring that a high quality, accurate, customer facing service is delivered. You will also monitor quality standards, ensuring systems, equipment and staffing are in place and that agreed tasks are completed promptly.
If you were already in this Customer Service role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:
- Reporting on service standards to Head of Customer Services including staff, quality assurance of enquiry handling and customer feedback
- Designing and maintaining a robust business continuity plan for the Customer Services Team
- Managing a number of permanent Assistants on the customer services team and any additional temporary staff.

- The ability to manage both formal and informal relationships
- The ability to work effectively in an environment that relies on collaboration, flexibility, managing and reporting.
