Contract: Fixed term maternity cover for 15 months, working 21 hours per week as a job share (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Salary: £27,401 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working

Location: Manchester (The role will be based at the Manchester office; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members if the team, normally 1-2 days a week) 

 

We are looking for a professional HR Assistant to join our small, friendly team operating within then HR Service Centre. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all internal enquiries relating to HR by phone, email, and face to face as required
  • Take ownership of HR Administration such as processing and onboarding starters, preparing offer letters, producing employment contracts, processing contractual changes and providing employment references
  • Updating and maintaining HR system with all employee data
  • Assist the wider HR function with any other administrative needs
  • Posting vacancies using our recruitment portal and on other advertising platforms, providing admin support by issuing shortlisting documents, setting up interviews, ongoing maintenance of system

 

We are looking for someone who can bring the following:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working in a HR administration or assisting role.
  • Work on their own initiative and ability to suggest ways of improving process efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a confident communicator
  • The ability to work effectively within a small/close team

A high level of accuracy with a positive can-do attitude
