Contract: Fixed term until 31 March 2026, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility)

Salary: £52,950 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working. 

Location: London (The role will be based in London; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week) 

A short-fixed term secondment opportunity has arisen in the music team Arts Council London for a Senior Relationship Manager (SRM). The role will cover a SRM who has been appointed Interim Director, London until March 26.

The role will line manage a team of experienced Relationship Managers in the music team and be part of the music management team of two SRMs, reporting to the Interim Director, London. In addition, you will be part of the London Area Management Team and the National Music Team.

As an SRM and member of the London Area Management Team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of Arts Council programmes and investments in London as part of the delivery of our strategy for 2020-2030, Let’s Create.

You will have knowledge of the music sector and will be capable of leading and motivating teams, and of creating strong partnerships with local stakeholders at a senior level.

The successful candidate will ideally have a combination of the following skills experience and attributes.

 

  • Skilled in managing people, teams and developing productive working relationships
  • Experience of working with stakeholders at all levels and developing credible partnerships
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects
  • An understanding of and empathy with the challenges and opportunities faced by cultural organisations
  • Experience of managing change
  • Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of business planning and financial reporting
  • A strong knowledge of the music sector and the wider performing arts industry
  • An understanding of the Nolan principles for working in public life and a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
