Introduction: Do you want to play a part in shaping and supporting England’s cultural and museum sector? At Arts Council England, we invest in creativity and culture so that everyone can access and benefit from great arts and culture wherever they live.

Our Investment Centre plays a vital role in delivering national programmes that strengthen the resilience, sustainability and impact of the cultural sector. Within this, our Development Initiatives Operations Team manage the Museums Accreditation and Designation Schemes and the Libraries Development Framework, working with museums, libraries and partners across the country to recognise excellence, support high standards, and ensure public access to important collections.

We’re looking for an organised and collaborative Officer to join our Development Initiatives Operations Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to programmes that support museums, collections, and cultural heritage, while working in a supportive and purpose-driven organisation. You’ll join a small, flexible team at the heart of Arts Council’s work with museums, helping to deliver schemes that underpin our strategy.

Your work will involve managing information, supporting decision-making processes, and maintaining high standards of accuracy, service and accountability.

·       Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and summarise complex information

·       Confidence using IT systems and databases, and the ability to learn new tools quickly

·       A collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing to team goals

·       An understanding of the importance of diversity, inclusion and public value in arts and culture
