What we need in a nutshell

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our well-established kitchen team at Kenwick Park Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chef looking to develop their skills in a supportive and professional environment.

What you’ll be doing

You will be in the thick of the action with your team, ensuring that meals are prepped, cooked and served to our exacting standards, from the simplest salad to the seasonal specials.  This includes:

  • Manage and run a designated section of the kitchen with consistency and efficiency
  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with hotel standards
  • Assist senior chefs with daily operations
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Helping the team to comply with agreed specifications of all dishes, ensuring correct portion sizes are followed and waste is closely managed
  • Ensuring safe, clean, hygienic and tidy workspaces within the kitchen, always complying with all food hygiene and safety regulations
  • Helping to control food margins through effective stock management, knowledge of product specifications and team coaching

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We are looking for an experienced chef who is an enthusiastic team player and can demonstrate the following:

  • Level Two Hygiene Certificate
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • Good organisation skills and able to identify and solve problems
  • A passion for fresh, high-quality food
  • Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices

It’s the icing on the cake if you have kitchen experience on a busy holiday park and you have experience of supervising others.

If you are a committed chef looking for your next step in a welcoming and professional kitchen, we would love to hear from you.

We have a can-do, people-centred ethos at Away Resorts, and we look for certain qualities in our team members. Have a read about it and see if you fit the bill.

What we can offer you

We look after you with a great range of benefits, including:

  • On Park Discounts
