What You’ll Be Doing

As a Sports & Leisure Team Leader, you'll assist in operating the leisure centre to achieve maximum sales while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. 

  • Actively market and promote the business, seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the centre.
  • Maintain and develop the highest levels of service and safety within the leisure centre.
  • Oversee the security of facilities, cleanliness, maintenance, plant operation, water quality testing, and stock replenishment.
  • Process financial transactions, cash reconciliation, and accept bookings in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the centre.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of customers and staff.

Skills, Experience, and Qualities You’ll Need

We’ll provide training, but you must have:

  • The ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively.
  • A customer-focused attitude with attention to detail.

Desirable:

  • Pool Plant Operator (PPO), National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ), or equivalent.
  • Fire Warden training.
  • A current valid NPLQ and a First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Experience in backwashing and COSHH.
