Kitchen Team Leader

Kitchen Team Leader

Location: Tattershall Lakes Country Park, Lincolnshire

Salary: £13.11

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 20 - 40

About the role

We are looking for a Team Leader to join us at Tattershall Park Country Pub.

Tattershall Park Pub is a newer venue to our park and is a hive of activity, being open to our guests as well as the general public. The pub offers a gastro pub style menu using fresh ingredients all made in house. Offering lunch and dinner service.

A can-do attitude, attention to detail and excellent people skills are essential. Being available to work evenings and weekends including bank holidays are also essential.

What you will be doing

We need someone who understands that a first-class guest experience is an essential part of their stay at Tattershall Lakes. Here are some of the things you will be doing:

  • Open up or close down of the kitchen
  • Managing the shift and team in the kitchen
  • Assisting the management team in coaching and training
  • Working as part of a team you will be responsible for food preparation and cooking.
  • Ensuring presentation of menu items to a high standard.
  • Adhering to operational cleanliness and food hygiene
  • Supporting team members to help them be the best they can be
  • Ensuring restocking at the end of a shift
  • Complying with all the legal requirements

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you are happy to help even when it is ‘not your job,’ you are our sort of person.

Skills, experience, and qualities you will need

We have high standards! We will train you up, but you must:

  • Experience in a similar role as either a Chef de Partie or Kitchen Supervisor
  • Passion for food and delivering excellent service
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Ability to think on your feet and deal with problems
  • Experience with stock control and working to a budget
  • Working closely with the Kitchen Manager you will be an integral part of the team; you should also be happy to interact with customers.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.

Nice to have but not essential

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we will not hold it against you if you don’t).

  • Kitchen management or team leader experience
  • Experience of working in the holiday sector

What we can offer you

Enjoy some great benefits, including:

  • Training & development
  • Personalised uniform
  • Regular incentives and rewards
  • Discounted holidays across all our parks

Want to join our team?

Click HERE. If you are new to our website, we will prompt you to register. If you have already registered, you can simply log in. Then complete your details and send us your best version of you.

That could be a vlog, blog or a Snapchat story; it could be a good old CV – if it is a CV, make sure you add a note or covering letter to say why you’re the one for the job.

It is up to you what you say and how you say it; whatever makes you feel good and tells your story best.

Our Promise to You

Holiday Heroes come with all sorts of different super-powers, and we welcome them all!

We embrace diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities. From our investors to our teams, we love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We’ll never accept any form of discrimination, and we’ll forever strive not just for our product to be unique but our people too. Afterall, wouldn’t it be boring if we were all the same? In short, we want to bring your whole self to work!

Good Luck!
