Guest Services Assistant

Location: Barmouth Bay Holiday Park, Snowdonia, North Wales 

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Salary: £11.44 per hour; Variable seasonal contract

You will be the main point of contact for our guests, welcoming them and checking them in and out efficiently, answering queries and solving problems, and delivering an unbeatable guest journey.

What you’ll be doing 

You’ll  be pretty much the first person our guests meet and you’ll be there for them throughout their stay to make the guest experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible for them. This includes: 

  • Checking guests in and out of accommodation and delivering excellent service from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave 
  • Acting as the first point of contact for guest issues or complaints, replying to telephone calls and emails promptly and ensuring the guest experience is enhanced through service recovery 
  • Working closely with the Park Services, Accommodation and Hot tub teams to ensure all accommodation and maintenance issues are reported and fixed quickly and guests are kept in the loop 
  • Looking for opportunities for accommodation upgrades & packages, promoting our additional activities and services and encouraging guests to rebook before they leave 

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too. 

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need 

We are looking for friendly and organised assistant who demonstrate the following:  

  • A strong customer service ethos 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and on the telephone 
  • An eye for detail and good organisational and problem solving skills 
  • Good numeracy, IT and MS Office skills  

It’s the icing on the cake, but not essential, if you have experience in a similar role in the Leisure/Hospitality sector and experience using the ParcVu booking system.
