Dog Grooming Technician

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dog Grooming Technician to join our Animal Science department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual with a passion for animal care and education to contribute to a high-quality grooming facility and support student learning.

In this role, you will assist in the smooth operation of the dog grooming facilities, ensuring exceptional grooming standards and the wellbeing of both animals and students. Working closely with Lecturers, you will help organise bookings, maintain accurate documentation, and supervise students during grooming sessions. You will also be responsible for carrying out grooming tasks as required.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised Level 2 Dog Grooming qualification (City & Guilds), with a Level 3 qualification and First Aid at Work certification considered advantageous. A minimum of one year’s experience in a professional grooming environment is essential. You must demonstrate strong communication skills, be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and have a genuine motivation to support and engage with young people.

This position requires a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. The role is subject to DBS and other pre-employment checks.
