As a Group Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring students, ensuring their academic success and personal development. You will be responsible for overseeing student progress, maintaining morale and discipline, and acting as the primary academic point of contact for a designated cohort.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing tutorial support, ensuring students are engaged and progressing. Managing and maintaining student discipline to foster a positive learning environment. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering scheduled sessions, managing assessments, supporting educational visits, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will also involve contributing to curriculum development, engaging with quality assurance processes, and supporting students’ academic progress through regular monitoring and reporting.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our teaching team as a Lecturer in Construction - Group Tutor.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering and developing engaging, hands-on learning experiences for students across a range of construction courses. These include Entry Level to Level 3 programmes, as well as T Levels in Onsite Construction.
You will help students build practical skills in areas such as bricklaying, plastering, and general construction techniques. Courses cover core topics such as health and safety, sustainability, construction drawing, and environmental awareness. Learners also gain valuable insights into modern building methods, project planning, and interpreting technical information—preparing them for careers as bricklayers, plasterers, site workers, and more.
We’re looking for someone who holds a relevant degree, has teaching or training experience, and brings at least two years of industry experience. A teaching qualification and assessor’s award are desirable, though not essential—we can support you in working towards a teaching qualification if you don’t yet have one.
You will guide students through their academic journey, providing mentorship and support while actively contributing to curriculum development and the wider success of the department.
