Are you ready to take on a leadership role at a well-established animal centre? Bishop Burton College is looking for a dedicated Animal Management Centre Manager and Curator to oversee our newly refurbished facilities and diverse animal collection.

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including some evenings and weekends. The role comes with an on-site three-bedroom family home.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in Animal Care, Management, Veterinary, or Natural Science, with a minimum of four years of relevant experience across a range of animal industries. They should have experience managing an animal collection in an educational or commercial setting, along with strong leadership and staff management skills. A solid understanding of animal welfare, husbandry, and industry standards is essential. Desirable qualifications include a teaching qualification, experience in an educational environment, and knowledge of zoological collections and industry contacts.

Bishop Burton College is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Careers Co-Ordinator to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) for our students. This role is integral to supporting student aspirations, ensuring they receive impartial, tailored guidance that helps them progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study.

As Careers Co-Ordinator, you will develop and implement the college’s careers strategy, coordinate careers events, oversee the UCAS application process, and build strong relationships with employers, educational institutions, and external agencies. You will work closely with students, staff, and stakeholders to enhance employability opportunities and support student progression.

The role will be based at the Bishop Burton campus with support required at the Riseholme campus on a weekly basis, with additional sessions being offered as required based on demand.

The curriculum area is well known for its commitment to ensuring all students are successful on their programme of study and boasts positive KPI’s across all areas.
