Equine Instructor - Tutor
£27,385 Per Annum
37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30sm to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (1 hour for lunch)
Bishop Burton College is seeking a skilled and motivated Equine Instructor/Tutor to join our dynamic Equine Department. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the equine industry and committed to inspiring the next generation of equine professionals.
As an Equine Instructor/Tutor, you will educate, train, and support learners to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience required for successful careers within the equine sector. You will deliver engaging practical and classroom-based sessions, ensuring students progress towards their qualifications while developing their confidence and industry readiness.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of BHS Stage 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship with at least two years’ experience. A First Aid at Work qualification and an equine-related degree or equivalent are also required. Candidates with BHS Stage 4 Senior Coach (BHSII) are highly desirable.
You will also have at least two years’ teaching or training experience within Further Education or industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to teach a broad range of equine-related subjects from Level 1 to Level 3. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection, together with the ability to work with students with a variety of needs, is essential.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable individual who can motivate learners, maintain high standards, and prepare students for a range of industry qualifications.
