Are you an experienced animal professional ready to inspire the next generation? At Riseholme College, we are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual who is currently working within the animal care, veterinary, zoo, or land-based sector and is ready to take the next step into teaching.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who brings real-world industry experience and a genuine enthusiasm for animal welfare, conservation, and education. You might be working in a practical animal role now and looking to share your expertise, support learners, and shape future careers in the sector.
Based at our Riseholme campus, you’ll join a thriving Animal Management department known for its modern facilities, specialist animal units, and hands-on approach to learning. Students benefit from working with a wide range of species while developing the skills employers value, making this a dynamic and rewarding environment to teach in.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching, support a group of students as a tutor, and contribute to student success both academically and personally. You’ll play an important part in helping learners progress into careers in areas such as veterinary care, zoology, and animal management.
Most importantly, if you don’t yet hold a teaching qualification, Riseholme College will support you to achieve one alongside your role. With dedicated development opportunities and guidance, this is the perfect pathway for industry professionals looking to transition into education.
If you’re ready to make a difference, develop your teaching career, and be part of a forward-thinking college, we’d love to hear from you.
