Curriculum Lead in Animal Management

£35,500 Per Annum

37 Hours Per Week Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (1 hour lunch break)

Are you an experienced Animal Management professional ready to take the next step into leadership, or an established lecturer looking to progress your career?

You may currently be working within the animal industry—perhaps in a supervisory or management role within a zoo, wildlife park, veterinary setting, or animal care facility—where you are already leading teams, mentoring staff, and maintaining high standards of animal welfare and practice. Alternatively, you could be working in Further Education as a Lecturer or Course Leader in Animal Management, already contributing to curriculum delivery and supporting learners to achieve their goals.

You are someone who combines strong industry knowledge with a passion for developing others. In your current role, you are likely involved in training, coaching, or assessing staff or students, and may already be contributing to curriculum planning, quality improvement, or performance monitoring.

You understand what high-quality teaching and learning looks like and are confident in using data and outcomes to drive improvement. You are comfortable leading a team, supporting colleagues, and ensuring that provision meets both educational standards and industry expectations.

This role offers the opportunity to step into a leadership position where you will shape the direction of Animal Management provision, lead a team of staff, and ensure students develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for successful careers in the sector.

If you are motivated, forward-thinking, and ready to lead both people and provision, we would love to hear from you.

Shortlisting for this role will be based solely on the information provided in the application form. CVs will not be considered during the shortlisting process. Please ensure that your application clearly demonstrates how you meet the essential and desirable criteria outlined in the person specification.
