Overview:

Whilst working you will learn about organically reared animals and organically grown fruits and vegetables and you will learn about the whole process from the foods natural source, through to making and baking products for re-sale within our farm shop, internet store and cafe. You will learn the production processes of making cheese and dairy products within our creamery and jams and chutneys from fruits and vegetables grown within our community at Botton Village.

The apprenticeship programme involves completing a Level 2 qualification in Food and Drink Process Operator.  You will also work towards Functional Skills in Mathematics up to Level 2 and English up to Level 2, if applicable to you.

Overview:

Camphill Village Trust provide day opportunities for adults with Learning Disabilities and this role involves working within our food production areas, initially for two years.

This role involves working on our social farm, alongside adults with learning disabilities.  Whilst working you will undergo a structured apprentice training programme in relation to organic agriculture and general farming duties, land maintenance tasks and general farm work activities; livestock husbandry, milking calving, lambing, pig husbandry, milking cows, mucking and cleaning out, land maintenance tasks.

The apprentice programme involves completing a Level 2 apprenticeship as General Farm Worker, with Askham Bryan College.  You will also work towards Functional Skills in Mathematics up to Level 2 and English up to Level 2, if applicable to you and you will be required to undertake a portfolio of work in accordance with your qualification.

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to manage the operations and develop strategy for our retail stores based at Taurus Crafts.   

The ideal candidate will be creative and able to manage all retail aspects such as selling, buying, merchandising and promotions. You will manage Taurus Crafts’ commercial retail undertakings to ensure efficient and profitable running of each department. We are looking for an organised person who is brimming with energy and ideas and can leverage retail opportunities.  

You will be organised and able to manage all learning and employment opportunities and delivery requirements for adults with learning disabilities, working with staff teams and managers to ensure the safety and welfare of trainees and apprentices. 

This is an exciting role for an individual who as retail experience, especially in a sustainable/ethical use setting.
