Working alongside the PA to SLT, you will provide administrative and secretarial support, coordinate meetings and diaries, manage key school schedules and documentation, support regulatory compliance processes, and act as a central point of communication across the School.

BACKGROUND
Founded in 1923 Canford School is set in 250 acres of inspirational parkland on the outskirts of Wimborne in Dorset.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:
The main purpose of this position is to provide administrative and secretarial support to members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) (as above). This is an exciting time to join the department as new initiatives are being launched. This opportunity would suit someone looking to develop within the department and take on more responsibility over time.
Working alongside the Personal Assistant, you will ensure that the SLT are supported pro-actively and effectively at all times during the School term and that your role as SLT Administrator positively impacts on the effectiveness of the team.
There is continuous involvement with academic and support staff, the Bursary, parents, pupils and other schools and educational organisations.
The SLT office will need to be manned during the School day Monday to Friday. Specific hours can be arranged within the office. There may be a requirement to provide additional cover from time to time. There is also a requirement to work 3 weeks split across the school holidays.
KEY TASKS:
- Assist the PA to SLT with diary arrangements for the SLT, supporting diary commitments as required. This will include inviting attendees, room/hospitality/equipment bookings, visitor schedules and minute taking.
- Liaise and correspond as necessary with the academic staff, support staff, governors, parents and pupils regarding meetings and messages.
- Ensure effective and timely communication in support of SLT activities.
- Termly co-ordination of calendar entries and production, duty rotas, weekend rotas and the assembly schedule.
- Weekly coordination of pupil activities, to include catering, room and transport bookings. Liaison with pupils, staff and external providers as necessary. This will include weekend activities and seasonal activities.
- Liaise with the school photography company and organise school photos.
- Assist the PA with daily administration tasks.
