Political Researcher

We are seeking a Political Researcher within the Conservative Research Department working primarily with the Candidates Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical individual to work at the heart of the Conservative Party.

The successful candidate will have excellent political judgement and attention to detail. The Conservative Research Department has a long and proud history of advising and supporting our elected representatives and has a deserved reputation for excellence. This role will work primarily with the Candidates Team to help provide Due Diligence on potential candidates and representatives. In this role, you will carry out background checks, social media check, and reputational risk assessments on prospective candidates.

Your responsibilities:

• Work with the Candidates Team to provide clear political guidance on prospective candidates
• Conduct background checks and social media checks on prospective candidates
• Undertaking other policy and political research on all topics as directed.
• Working to tight deadlines in a close-knit team with a reputation for political expertise.
